Female Entrepreneur Morning Ritual Gift Ideas

12 Morning Ritual Gift Ideas for the Female Entrepreneur Who Has Everything

If my morning routine gets thrown off, I genuinely feel it for the rest of the day. Wake up, workout, tidy up, shower, breakfast, self-leadership practice, then open my laptop and dive into the workday. By 9:30 I feel focused, energized and, most important for me, grounded and ready for the day ahead. Hopefully this list of morning ritual gift ideas will help another female founder feel the same way!

More than 10 years into entrepreneurship, I’ve got my morning routine down pat and I highly suggest these morning habits for female founders. This morning routine fills my own cup before I head into the day. It’s an opportunity to take time for myself and start the day with intention, rather than rushing into a mode of reactivity. But most female founders don’t give themselves that permission, which is why a morning-ritual gift lands differently than a generic one.

What makes a good gift for a female entrepreneur?

A good gift for a female entrepreneur is something that supports her morning routine without making her feel overwhelmed. The best ones attach to a habit she already has, which is an idea I picked up from James Clear. One of my favourite takeaways from his acclaimed book Atomic Habits is the concept of habit stacking: it’s when you stack a new behaviour on top of an already existing one. He notes that you’re more likely to stick with a habit when you stack it, and you can stack a series of habits together, with each being a cue for the next one.

These gift suggestions below are listed very specifically in the order of my personal a.m. habit stack. Since this is a five-days-a-week ritual, these are gifts that she’ll use more than once and they’ll consistently support your female founder friend’s entrepreneurial journey.

The morning ritual gift guide

  1. The Miracle Worker: Magnesium Supplement by Gut Personal 🩷- A good morning starts with a great sleep the night before. For months I struggled with being awake from 3:00 to 4:30 a.m. so I added magnesium to my evening routine for less stress and sound sleep. Now it’s a regular addition to my Sleepy Girl Mocktail. And of course, disclaimer: check with a medical professional first.

  2. Grace Hypnotherapy App Subscription 🩷- This mobile hypnotherapy library is designed to help reprogram subconscious beliefs through guided audio sessions. Specifically for entrepreneurs, it’s a tool for mindset, stress, and performance. I love waking up and listening to an audio from the High Performance series before even getting out of bed and letting it set the foundation for the day ahead.

  3. Get Fit Bundle by Crossrope - These weighted jump ropes have been a staple in my routine since 2020 when I couldn’t get to the gym anymore. Between my husband and me, we have more than 10 sets of Crossropes! This specific Get Fit Bundle comes with four weighted ropes: ¼, ½, 1 and 2 pound ropes. They’re perfect for cardio anywhere, and the brand also makes ropeless ropes for indoor workouts. My morning workouts give me a quick win, plus help me start the day with a boost of energy.

  4. Molly Maid Subscription - I would save so much time if I didn’t feel the need to give my house a total once over every morning, including vacuuming all the floors (pets!). A home cleaning subscription frees up time for a female founder to focus on building instead of tidying. And if I’m being honest with myself, cleaning can absolutely be a form of productive procrastination for me, so not having that as an option truly would support my business.

  5. H-AA Slow Juicer by Hurom - I’ve been a fan of morning green juices for well over a decade now, and specifically using a slow juicer is my favourite for maximum nutrient extraction. Swap coffee or sugary orange juice for a full day’s worth of greens in a glass.

  6. Pink Perspective De-Puff Hydrogel Eye Therapy by Evio Beauty 🩷🍁- There’s hardly a day that goes by without the morning ritual of under eye patches. I love these award-winning patches from Evio for their clean ingredients and the cooling feeling. They’re an easy habit to stack on while doing my hair in the morning.

  7. Alma Highball Glass by Crate & Barrel - I’m a sucker for a nice drinking glass. If I like how it feels and how it looks, I’ll drink more water. The texture of this highball glass is so fun to run your fingers along, and since it’s not the size of a Stanley, it means I have a reason to go up and down the stairs multiple times a day to keep filling it up.

  8. Female Founders Journal by Pearl Spark Pages 🩷🍁- Of course reflecting in the Female Founders Journal is an integral start to a woman entrepreneur’s day! Instead of starting the day reactively responding to emails, this is an opportunity for her to start the day by leaning into her vision (every weekday morning begins with the prompt ‘My vision is ________________’) and to remind herself of how awesome she is through one of the morning prompts following our therapist-approved BRAGS framework designed to help her start her day with confidence. (In case you’re wondering, BRAGS stands for Build confidence, Reframe thoughts, Affirm strengths, Grow mindset, Self-reflect.)

  9. Wall Calendar by Simplified 🩷- A monthly wall calendar in my office is a non-negotiable. I put the current quarter’s months up on the wall so I can see the big picture in front of me at any given time. Instead of writing directly onto the calendar itself, I prefer using colour-coded sticky notes representing my sales promotions, visibility appearances, networking events, etc.

  10. Daily Planner by Simplified 🩷- If you can’t already tell, I’m a huge fan of the Simplified stationery brand and am so inspired by their founder, Emily Ley. She really has inspired the vision for Pearl Spark Pages! Fan girling aside, the Simplified Daily Planner has been on my desk for 10 years to keep me organized. Sure I have my Google calendar for daily appointments, but my pen-to-paper planner helps me stay on top of all the tasks that get to be done. It’s a Sunday evening ritual for me to plan for the week ahead and go into Monday feeling prepared.

  11. Arrivée Subscription Box 🩷- As a personal development, self-care junkie, I love spending my downtime indulging in a book and taking time for myself. I’m guilty of having my work brain on far too much so I enjoy opening up this curated quarterly gift box of elevated products from up-and-coming founders next to popular brands. Sidenote: if you have a product-based business, learn how to get your product featured in a subscription box.

  12. Duolingo App Subscription - Chances are, your female founder friend hopes to have a financially fruitful business, and those finances can fund a dream vacation! Whether she’s dreaming of a trip to Italy, France or Japan, how cool would it be to support her with learning the local language? A language learning app like Duolingo plays with the brain in a different way from business and their gamification makes it addictive to maintain a daily streak, I haven’t missed a day in three years!

What to write in the card

We’re all quick to celebrate birthdays, holidays and anniversaries, but what about celebrating business milestones? She’ll remember you for celebrating her wins, big and small, in business. They’re so often overlooked for women entrepreneurs that your thoughtful gesture will stand out.

When you’re writing the card to accompany gifts for women business owners, if you’re stuck on what to write (pretty sure Hallmark doesn’t have a section for this), here are some suggestions:

“I’ve watched you build this from nothing, and I don’t think you’ve stopped once to notice how far you’ve come. Watching you go all-in on yourself is an absolute inspiration.”

“You are allowed to be proud of this already. You don’t have to wait until it’s bigger.”

“Everyone sees the business. I see how much of you goes into it.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you get a woman who has her own business?

These gifts for female entrepreneurs above are designed to support the founder herself, regardless of what her business does. Gifts that support the business itself can come in the form of gift cards to subscription services she uses in her business (i.e. Claude, Klaviyo or Squarespace), coaching and consulting services, community memberships or networking event tickets and retreats.

What is a good gift for someone who just started journaling?

For the woman entrepreneur who’s started a journaling practice, help her elevate her routine with accessories that make it more of an experience. Our refillable Signature Pearl Pen is more than a beautiful gold pen, the bold pearl detail on the clip is a touchstone to remind your female founder friend that she is a pearl: pressure makes her, and resilience shapes her.

Another addition to her journaling routine is our Pearl Sticker Sheet with words of empowerment to decorate her pages.

What do you get someone who says they don't want anything?

This one comes down to knowing the person. If they’re not being modest and you know that they truly, truly don’t want anything (couldn’t be me!), it’s thoughtful to make a donation to an organization like The Forum in Canada or the Tory Burch Foundation in the US, that supports female founders on her behalf.

Start Her Morning Right

Whatever you choose from the list, consider something she would never buy for herself. That is almost always the thing she needs most and the thing she will never get around to.

For many founders, what they’re least likely to do is take time to self-reflect and celebrate. They’ll move, eat well and plan their day, no problem. But sitting down to give themselves a pat on the back? That’s what doesn’t actually happen. That’s why I especially love the idea of gifting business owners the Female Founders Journal, a 90-day guided journal for women entrepreneurs with more than 180 prompts, reviewed by a licensed therapist. It gives her space to write and reflect on her growth on the entrepreneurial journey.
