Land Acknowledgement

At Pearl Spark Pages, we acknowledge that the land on which we create, connect, and build community is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. This land is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

Toronto is covered by Treaty 13, signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and it is also part of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between Indigenous nations to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.

We are grateful to live and work on this land, and we recognize our ongoing responsibilities as settlers to learn from Indigenous voices, honor the histories and cultures of First Peoples, and support truth and reconciliation in meaningful ways.
