The Top 5 Podcasts for Female Founders with Product-Based Businesses

I'm not the kind of person who can hand something off to other people. I really, genuinely love to learn and understand the backend of building a business. So as I jumped into building a product-based company, I turned to a ton of different podcasts to learn the A - Z.

If you're in the process of building a CPG brand, I think you'll love these podcasts for entrepreneurs with product-based businesses.

1. Shopify Masters

Best for: learning from e-commerce founders who are ahead of you

One of the things I love most about Shopify Masters is the range of guests. Every episode features a different founder from a different e-commerce store, and because they come from so many different backgrounds and stages of business, there's almost always something that lands.

Some of my favourite episodes to-date have been:

It’s also nice that it’s one of those shows that you can go deep, deep into the archives and a lot of the content is still relevant because these founders are sharing their tried, tested and true repeatable processes, not just whatever the latest moment is on social platforms.

At Pearl Spark Pages we’re primarily focused on building a DTC brand so this show is a weekly must-listen for me!

2. The Product Boss with Jacqueline Snyder

Best for: practical, easy-to-implement strategies for growing a product-based business

If you're looking for someone who speaks directly to the reality of running a product-based business, Jacqueline Snyder is your gal. She’s super direct, doesn’t beat around the bush and honestly, that’s my vibe. Don’t worry about my feelings, just get to the point that’s going to support my goals in the long-run.

Her strategies are genuinely practical. The kind you can actually act on that same week.

Just a few days ago I was reverse-engineering my plan to $1,000,000 and of course she drops an episode ‘The Smarter Way to Grow Your Product Business to 7 Figures.’ Her coaching aligned perfectly with what one of my mentors shared with me last week. I scrapped a plan to, quite honestly, distract myself, and came back to consistency as the plan to grow, instead of scattering myself in multiple different directions.

Some other favourite episodes of mine include:

She also runs some awesome free challenges, including one she hosted around Black Friday last year. If one comes up while you're listening, sign up. They're worth it!

3. The Sourcing Gals with Erin Souder and Jackie Hutson

Best for: female founders who manufacture or source their products overseas

It’s always fun to fangirl to people you’ve been learning from for awhile, and then connect with them ‘IRL’ (ish). I’ve been listening to The Sourcing Gals probably since its inception last year, and then I had the chance to learn from the hosts Erin and Jackie virtually when they did a guest session inside of Carlyn Bushman's Pop Academy, a CPG growth program I did last year.

What makes The Sourcing Gals so valuable is that it fills a gap I didn't even know existed until I went looking. Each week they bring insider tips on sourcing, manufacturing, and product development drawn from their years of experience at global brands. As someone who sources her products overseas, this one hits differently.

I’d actually already found my manufacturer and had the process going before I found this show, but it was really helpful because it was super affirming. It’s scary to send thousands of dollars overseas to a company you’ve probably never heard of before, so these episodes helped me feel way calmer as the product process was underway:

There genuinely isn't a podcast quite like it. If you make something, if you have a physical product that comes from somewhere, this show is for you.

4. The Ecommerce Roadmap with Susan Bradley

Best for: turning your Shopify store data into a real strategy

This podcast did something I didn't expect: it took all the emotion out of my Shopify stats. I remember one month I felt like I was doing everything but the sales just weren’t happening the way that I wanted them to. Then I listened to one of The Ecommerce Roadmap’s episode where Susan went into the data of conversions and I realized it wasn’t about me or my efforts at it, it was literally the math.

The Ecommerce Roadmap reframes everything as data. Not good data or bad data. Just information you can use to make better decisions.

Some of the episodes that helped me get out of my feelings include:

I could list honestly 20 more great episodes, I’ve gone two or three years deep into the episode archives because it’s another one of those shows where there’s still great, evergreen information.

Since I listen to every single episode and do (not just sign up for, actually implement!) every single free challenge she hosts literally since January 2025, I felt confident putting down a credit card for her Reliable Revenue program, which is all about reliable revenue (duh) from your email list. One of my friends gets 51% of her sales from her email list which made me feel even more confident in the program. My assistant (who thank GOODNESS helps me put all the email flows into place) said, “There’s no way this CAN’T work!”

5. Smarter Online Business with Carrie Saunders

Best for: actionable online business strategy without the overwhelm

I met Carrie inside the Entreprenista community, which tells you something about her right away. She shows up in spaces that are genuinely about supporting women in business.

Her show, Smarter Online Business, blends 20+ years of hands-on experience with real talk and simple strategies. What I love is the format: short, focused, actionable. No fluff, no filler. Just something useful you can take away from every single episode. Her episodes have saved me from endless tinkering on my website so that I could feel productive, to helping me actually diagnose what could not be working.

Some of my faves include:

If you want to make the most of a 20-minute commute or a quick walk, this one is a great fit.

Final Thoughts

The right podcast can feel like a conversation with someone who's been exactly where you are and is generous enough to look back and point the way. Whether you're deep in sourcing negotiations, trying to make sense of your Shopify dashboard, or just needing a reminder that this path is worth it, I hope one of these shows becomes a regular part of your week.
