Quarterly Reflections for Female Founders
Five Journal Prompts for Entrepreneurs to Celebrate Progress & Lead with Intention
I worked with a fantastic business coach a few years ago, and when it came to measuring the success of the day, she would always advise:
“Begin the day with intention, and end the day with an audit.”
Ever since that advice, I typically start my day by sharing my Top 3 with an accountability partner, and end the day auditing what worked, what didn’t, and evaluating what gets to shift.
Now, as June wraps up, it’s the perfect time to end Q2 with an audit and begin Q3 with intention.
Instead of chasing never-ending goals and figuring out your Q3 success metrics, take a second to celebrate your wins and reflect on your growth over the last 12 weeks.
Quarterly Entrepreneur Guided Journal Prompts
Wait—before I share the prompts, let me share where they come from.
If you didn’t know, the ‘PEARL’ in Pearl Spark Pages stands for the type of female founder you are:
-
Passionate
-
Empowered
-
Ambitious
-
Resilient
-
Leader
I designed these journal prompts not only to help you close out Q2 with celebration and step into Q3 with intention, but also to reflect our core values!
P is for Passionate
Prompt: What felt most energizing about your work this past quarter, and why? 📝
This isn’t just about what you did or what went well. It’s about what made you feel alive. Passion can often be our driver in business, and this prompt helps you reconnect with the work that lights you up so you can do more of it in Q3.
E is for Empowered
Prompt: What’s something you felt unsure about within the last 12 weeks that you now feel confident in? 📝
It’s so easy to take what we learn and the skills we gain for granted. This prompt grounds you in the evidence of your expansion and reminds you that the voice in your head is catching up to the truth of your evolution.
A is for Ambitious
Prompt: What’s one milestone you’re proud of, even if it’s still in progress? 📝
I am a HUGE fan of the book The Gap and The Gain, and now I’m a HUGE believer in taking time to measure the gain, not just constantly looking at the gap. Growth is a journey, and your ambition deserves to be acknowledged at every stage.
R is for Resilient
Prompt: What was a challenge you overcame that deserves a standing ovation? 📝
I’ll totally acknowledge that my Q1 was stronger than my Q2. I’ve learned a lot in the last few weeks. And I totally came back from several setbacks. And that matters! Use this prompt to honour the moments you got back up, got creative, or got stronger.
L is for Leader
Prompt: What kind of leader do you want to be in Q3, and what’s one habit that supports that? 📝
I definitely had some growth moments working with a co-founder for the first time and beginning to grow our team. There are some behaviours that I absolutely get to learn to manage and not bring in front of my team, and there are other areas where I really held it together and led confidently. This prompt encourages future-focused thinking so you can move into Q3 with clarity, grounded intention, and aligned action.
